Confetti! Our favourite GG-nominee is back from tree-planting and blogging up a storm. Her post on writing spaces begs the question: where do you write? Here's where I'm writing these days -- lying down, head on the red pillow, knees tucked and slung to the left, laptop on my right hip. Ergonomic? Probably not! But trust me, it's better than the Quasimodo posture I slip into at my desk at home.
And you?

I'm Quasimodo at the desk as well. I also seem to push away from the desk in my chair. If you can imagine this, I end up hunched and forward-leaning, with my mouse arm suspended in mid-air. It's really bad. If I keep doing this I'm going to need a back brace and a skull halo by the time I'm 50.
The majority of the time I write at my desk, on my desktop computer, despite having a very pretty and functional laptop. There's something about my desk that says "nose to the grindstone".
My one quirk: I almost always write sitting cross-legged in my office chair. Somehow I'm thinking that's not great for the spine either.
hi nancy
i just want to know where you got that fabulous couch. i LOVE it. these days, i'm writing on fridays (my day off) with a borrowed laptop at "beans & leaves" a coffee shop in abbotsford. it has comfy chairs but i usually sit at a table so i can plug the lap top in - its battery is medieval.
